Golf Carts; let me tell you a story of Peachtree City, Ga. There is a paved golf cart track along all streets and they lead to all the malls in the city and the hi-school has a parking lots just for Golf Carts that has 500 spaces and are used each school day.

We have had a very good week on crappie and they, as of Saterday, were at it again. Here are some places to look at: Silver Lake Run, 10 Mile Still, Lilly Pad Run, Upper Carl’s Pass, Lower Carl’s Pass, Tom Mann Hole, Mule Lot and the shallow water tween the Creek and Flint River.

The weigh-in Saterday of the Fishers Of Men, sponsored by the Faceville Baptist Church, had some awesome strings of fish, to be sure. 28 pounds in a five-fish limit has been their record for a long time. However, Matt Baty and Kyle Henderson had five fish that weighed 31.74 pounds and Big Fish at 7.45 pounds. Randy Dunkan/Adam Linkonhoker had five fish that weighed 31.07 pounds and second Big Fish at 7.09 pounds, Gilbert Stafford and Steve Holt had 23 pounds, Paul Tyre and Chris Bell had 21.1. Clint Brown and Kim Brown had 18.53. Not a bad catch for this ole wore out Indian Lake and not one fish died and all were healthy.

The A.B.A. Weekend Series had a nice turnout in Bainbridge with the following results: First place went to Terry Stevens of Marianna, Fla., with 24.95 pounds, second place went to Tom Hamlin of Lizella, Ga., with 22.44 pounds, third place went to Frank Jordan Jr. with 21.68 pounds, fourth place went to Brad Hamric of Leesburg, Ga., with 20.25 pounds. Big Fish went to Pat Fisher of Clearwater, Fla., with a 7.01-pound bass. Eighteen boats did not catch a bass.

The C&R held their tournament on Sunday and weighed in at 3 p.m. at Wingate’s with Bushore and Wenhold taking first with 21.2 pounds and Big Fish at 5.6 pounds, Weatherby and East took second with 9.8 pounds, Chandler and Brooks took third with 6.1 pounds.

The Hydrilla Gnats weighed in at 3:30 p.m. with C&R weighing their fish. Matt Palmer was first with 13.85 pounds and Big Fish at 5.15 pounds, Mike Sloan was second with 13.5 pounds and Josh Thompson was third with 11.85 pounds.

The Tri-States Bass Club weighed in at 4 p.m. with Leon Roy V winning with 27.16 pounds and Big Fish at 9.10 pounds, his young son, maybe 4, was holding the net on his two big fish while his twin brother was home asleep. Brian Deal was second with 13.45 pounds and Reggie Calhoun was third with 12.23 pounds. We lost no fish all weekend.
