Spring is here! The crappie and shellcracker are bedding and the bass are getting frisky! Paul Tyre and Nic Jeter took a break from catching the Big Momma Bass and went crappie fishing. In about two hours they caught some bigguns! They ought to be good eatin’!

The R&R Tournament was held out of Wingate’s on Saturday but we didn’t get no results.

The Tallahassee Bass Masters Club fished out too but they didn’t give us no results either. I don’t know if it’s because I was in New Orleans at the Bassmaster Classic or not.

On Sunday, the Rose City Bass Club held their club tournament out of Wingate’s.

Coming up this weekend, the 26th of February, the Panhandle Heat Softball Fundraising Bass Tournament will be having a tournament with lots of Big Wigs from Florida State Football being in attendance. Y’all come out and support this Softball Team.

On March 5th, the Jack Wingate Open will be held here with the Hydrilla Gnats hosting it. We hope to have a big crowd for that.
