Sister McDaniel joined St. John A.M.E. Church at an early age and was a member of the church’s youth choir. Eventually, she was given the responsibility of teaching children’s Sunday school. After completing her elementary and high school education in the public school system of Seminole County, Ga., she studied at Tuskegee University in Alabama, where she obtained a degree in education. Following the loss of her daughter, she moved in with her sisters in Bainbridge, moving her church membership to Nelson Chapel A.M.E. Church. There, she participated in the Sunday school and became an Eastern Star and Victory Club member.
Survivors include a nephew, Floyd W. Davis and his wife, Brenda; a grandniece and grandnephew; several cousins and a dear friend, Junior Bell, who loved and cared for Sister McDaniel for many years.
