Funeral services for James Billy “Bill” O’Hearn, 82, of Donalsonville, Ga., who died Thursday, June 9, 2011, at the Donalsonville Hospital, were held on Saturday, June 11, at the Donalsonville Church of God with the Revs. Kip Boswell and Stan Long officiating.
Interment followed in Friendship Memorial Gardens.
Mr. O’Hearn was born in Blakely on April 19, 1929. He was a member of the Donalsonville Church of God, and a member of Men’s Fellowship Sunday School Class. He was also a prominent Seminole County farmer, member of Seminole Masonic Lodge and a director of Seminole County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, Sissy O’Hearn; four sons, Dennis O’Hearn and Mickey Norton of Donalsonville, Clifton Smith of Kinsey, Ala., and Lowell Smith of Dothan, Ala.; four daughters, Debra Sharpe of Statesboro, Ga., Penny Moulton of Jakin, Ga., Tina Broxton of Donalsonville and Barbara Wilson of Ashford, Ala.; three brothers, Calvin “Sang” O’Hearn and Gene O’Hearn, both of Colquitt, and Clifford “Man” O’Hearn of Lucille, Ga.; two sisters, Delores Broxton and Dorothy Jean Givens, both of Donalsonville; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford M. and Lucille Stephens O’Hearn; two brothers, Ralph O’Hearn and Broughton O’Hearn; and two sisters, Eunice White and Lucy Robinson.
