Services for Willie Joe Wimberly, 51, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, July 23, at Union M.B. Church with Elder Qunta Bush officiating.

Interment was at Mount Olive Cemetery with family and friends acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Wimberly was born April 19, 1960. He died July 15, 2011. He attended Decatur County Schools and was employed for 25 years with Georgia Gulf Sulfur Company.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, as well as his parents, Alexander and Bessie M. Wimberly.

Survivors include five sisters, Rosa Lee Jones, Gladys Faison, Rosa E. Clemons, Catherine Lewis and Yvonne Venisee; two brothers, Sylvester Wimberly and Bobby Wimberly; and a devoted friend, Gertrude Davis, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
