E-reader education program set for Dec. 14

If you feel out of the loop when friends talk about their Kindle, Nook, and iPad, take advantage of the free E-Reader program Dec. 14 at 1:30 p.m. in the Bainbridge College Continuing Education building, which is next to Golden Corral on Shotwell Street at the Bainbridge Mall.
Presenters will be local individuals who use these electronic devices. Ask them your questions about these new devices, including iPhones, so that you can make an informed decision for a purchase or use your device more effectively.
This program inaugurates the Bainbridge College Academy for Lifelong Learning, which is an initiative to provide opportunities for active adults who are committed to learning. The peer-led group is for persons older than 55 and is in the formative stages, said Continuing Education Director Ann Wells. For more information, call her at (229) 248-2517 or call BC Library Director Susan Ralph at (229) 248-2590.
The Bainbridge College Academy for Lifelong Learning joins a number of such academies at other higher education institutions throughout the country. These academies are an outgrowth of the Elderhostel program.
