Brandi Thompson, a student at West Bainbridge Elementary School, was honored at the Dec. 15 meeting of the Decatur County Board of Education. Brandi was the regional winner in the NFL’s “Punt, Pass and Kick” competition and had the chance to compete at halftime of a Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers game in Jacksonville, Fla., on Sunday, Dec. 11. Brandi placed second overall in the competition, which included students from throughout the Southeast.
