Coach Mike Harrell’s Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars basketball team advanced to the Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) Final Four by defeating Thomas Jefferson Academy of Louisville, 48-47, on Friday, Feb. 17.

Down by 10 points with 3:22 left in the game, the Lady Cougars put pn a full-court press and cut the lead to one.

Following a turnover, Rachel Harrell hit a shot from the corner to seal the victory.

The Lady Cougars will return to action in the GISA Final Four on Friday at Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Ga.

Leading the way in their win over Thomas Jefferson were Rachel Harrell with 20 points, Jocelyn Jacobs with 12 and Emilee Murr with 10.

Rounding out Lady Cougars’ scoring chart were Emma Heard with three and Shelby Woodrum with two.
