Services for Peggy Bonner Crum, 68, of Bainbridge, will be held at 3 p.m., on Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home, in Cairo, Ga. Rev. Paul Medley will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo. Mrs. Crum passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Ga.
Mrs. Crum was born on Jan. 17, 1944, in Cairo, to the late Joseph Alton Bonner and Leila Belle McLendon Bonner, who survives.
She was the owner of Crum’s Floral Design and was a wonderful floral and wedding designer. She was a member of the American Society of Floral Designers. Mrs. Crum was a paraprofessional for the Decatur County School System. Prior to being struck by illness, she was pursuing a special education degree. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Bainbridge, where she served on the Church Decorating Committee and the Church Bereavement Committee. She was a member of the JOY Sunday School Class.
Peggy was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many. She enjoyed helping others in any way that she could. She enjoyed growing houseplants and shrubs.
Mrs. Crum was preceded in death by her father, and a brother, Franklin Bonner.
Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Betsy and Bill Tillman of Valdosta, Ga.; son, Russell Crum of Bainbridge; grandchildren, William, Abigale, and Russell Tillman of Valdosta; mother, Leila Belle Bonner of Cairo; brother, Wayne Bonner of Cairo; sisters and brothers-in-law, MaeBelle and Charles Griffin of Lake Park, Ga., Becky and Robert Hartsfield of Cairo; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
