The funeral service for Agnes Tuggle Prince, 85, of the Faceville community near Bainbridge, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor H. Haskell White officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Baptist Church Cemetery. Terry Prince, Ray Prince, Eddie Prince, Mike Bennett, Lee Lawrence, and Dr. James Sellers will be serving as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Ivey Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Celebration Baptist Church, 3039 Faceville Hwy, Bainbridge, GA 39819.
Mrs. Prince was born Feb. 19, 1926 in Cairo, the daughter of James Watson Tuggle and Ruby Hester Tuggle. She died Monday, March 5, 2012 at her residence. She was a graduate of Cairo High School and a member of Celebration Baptist Church. Mrs. Prince will always be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and Celebration Baptist Church. She worked at Bram’s Restaurant in the 1950’s, and after the birth of her children, she became a homemaker.
Mrs. Prince was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Alto H. “Toby” Prince; her daughter, Hester Renee Prince; her brother, Milton Tuggle; and her sisters, Helen Smith, Worbie Sellers, and Margaret Tuggle.
Survivors include her sons, Rodney A. Prince of Faceville, and Ricky H. Prince and his wife, Hallie, of Faceville; her brother, Frazier Tuggle; her sisters, Martha Williford, Shirley Bennett, Ruby Barrett, and Linda Counts; her grandson, Bailey Eck Prince of Faceville; her caregivers, Rhonda Zackery, Carol Blake, Teresa Sadler, and Marilyn Conyers.
