All of Georgia should be proud of Alec Poitevint

Georgians from all walks of life owe a special note of gratitude to the people of Bainbridge for sharing the talents of Alec Poitevint.
With little public acclamation, Decatur County’s own Poitevint surpassed every expectation as the Chairman of the Committee on Arrangements for the 2012 Republican National Convention. This was not just some stuffy title that demanded a handful of quick meetings.
Over the past 19 months, Alec has tended to every detail for this pinnacle of conservative politics. Operating in the best interest of the Republican Party and minding the details is not new to Alec.
While my generation struggled for career breaks into public service, Alec was blazing the way that created solid majorities and opportunities for growth. With the 2012 RNC Convention successfully closing and nominee for president Mitt Romney selected, thousands of Georgians owe Alec our thanks.
However, we also owe our neighbors in Bainbridge much gratitude for sending one of your finest to represent our state at the top of Republican Party nationwide. Thank you.
