Bainbridge High School Bearcats tennis player Hema Hasona won a Level 3 Junior Tournament last weekend.
City of Bainbridge tennis pro Tim Thompson said he won in convincing fashion.
“Hema beat a boy who was ranked ninth in the state of Georgia,” Thompson said. “Many of his matches went the distance of three sets but his confidence throughout showed with his fanciful shot making.
“During the final match, both players hit highly difficult shots between the legs, known as ‘tweeners’ in the tennis world.”
Thompson said Hasona’s steady playing and ability to hit the right shot at the right time continually gave him the edge over his opponents.
“We look forward to seeing Hema’s talent progress this season on the Bainbridge High School tennis team,” Thompson said.
