The River Writers are presenting their 2012 Open Mic Night at 7 p.m., in the Callahan Room of the Firehouse Gallery, this Friday, Nov. 9.

The public will have the opportunity to hear local writers and guest authors read their poetry and exerpts from stories. A number of short skits will also be performed and refreshments will be served.

The River Writers is composed of people in our area who love to write. The group meets on the second Monday of each month, at 7 p.m., at the Firehouse Gallery. They publish a periodical several times a year, entitled, The Firehouse Journal, and sponsor the Annual Open Mic Night.
