The bass are tearin’ it up on Lake Seminole right now! The Hydrilla Gnats had their 2012 Classic last Saturday, with Joe Cleary and Joey Sloan, both of Recovery, whacking them and taking first place with 21.72 pounds. Coming right behind them was Mike Sloan and Robert Rabon, both of Recovery, with 18.70 pounds. Steve Bushore of Recovery, and Sam Bass of Chattahoochee, Fla., came in third place with 17.17 pounds. It was great weather and there was lots of fishermen and duck hunters out there.
Brock Wells and Tanner Harrell, both of Bainbridge, went out duck hunting this weekend and got their limits.
The crappie are really turning on and they’re eating those red-eyed minnows up! The catfish are hitting those big red worms. The stripers are still feeding and Barry Walker of Recovery, caught one yesterday while fishing the Hydrilla Gnat’s Tournament. Steve Bushore of Recovery, caught a big bass earlier this week.
