Tennis teams competitive

The Bainbridge High School tennis teams continue to play well.
The teams traveled to Valdosta, Ga., on March 15-16, where Lowndes High School hosted its Viking Invitational Tennis Tournament.
The Lady Bearcats placed sixth, defeating Wayne County three matches to two, but falling to Tift County three matches to two.
The boys’ team also placed sixth, defeating Wayne County five matches to none, but falling to Tift County three matches to two.
A scheduled match against Thomas County Central in Thomasville was postponed due to rain.
Hosting Lee County at home on March 21, the girls won their match but the boys lost.
The teams were to host Maclay School of Tallahassee at the BHS tennis courts on Tuesday afternoon.
