C. L. “Slick” Morris, 83, of Bainbridge, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at his residence.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at West Bainbridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Ivey Funeral Home.
Mr. Morris was born July 28, 1929, in Decatur County, the son of Barney James Morris and Ora Lee Keaton Morris. He was a retired mechanic for the Engelhard Corporation, and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Bernie Morris.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Iva Bailey Morris of Bainbridge; his son, Gary Morris and his wife, Joan, of Bainbridge; his daughters, Cathy M. Reddel and her husband, Paul, of Lavonia, Ga., and Angela M. Evans and her husband, Allan, of Virginia Beach, Va.; his brothers, Milton Morris and his wife, Nancy, of Americus, Ga., Billy Wayne Morris and his wife, Dale, of Mulberry, Fla., Bobby Morris of Bainbridge, and Larry Morris and his wife, Virginia, of Bainbridge; his sister-in-law, Dorothy Jean Morris of Bainbridge; his grandchildren, Don Hill, Amber M. Crum, Chad Hill and Holt Morris; and his great-granddaughter, Laryn Crum.
