During the next two Saturdays, including today, Memorial Hospital and Manor will be sponsoring a “Healthy Living Farmers’ Market.” The market will be held behind the hospital, at 1512 E. Evans St. next to Grimsley Pharmacy, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, and Saturday, June 29.

Certainly, the hospital’s role in the community is to promote wellness. Sometimes that is by curing the sick, while other times it is through offering healthy lifestyle choices. These farmers’ markets will provide healthy produce, ensuring that we can all get a diet that is rich in fresh fruits and vegetables.
