Funeral services for Beatrice Taylor King, 92, of Poulan, Ga., will be at 2 p.m.. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Sylvester Lighthouse Church of God with the Rev. Mylan Brookins, Rev. Sam Thompson and Rev. Alton Stokes officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens in Moultrie.

Casketbearers will be Ricky Giles, Tracy Walls, Timothy Spieker, Michael Spieker, Ray Shear, David Conard, Dave Pierce and Don Whitaker.

Honorary casketbearers will be her care team from United Hospice, Kim Graddy, Sharron Nehring, Veronica Oliver and Selina Evans, and especially her special caregiver, Chellie Spieker.

Born January 15, 1921 in Cairo, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Taylor and Bessie Olivia Ponder Taylor. She was a homemaker and was a member of Sylvester Lighthouse Church of God. “She was a prayer warrior and a devoted wife and mother,” her family remembered. “She was married to the late Rev. Denmark King, and was a committed pastor’s wife for sixty-two years.”

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Henry Taylor, R.J. Taylor, Joe Taylor and Clifton Taylor; three sisters, Laura Mae Downs, Jean Allen and Dorothy Hunt.

Survivors include two sons, Glendon Mark King and wife Jana of Coden, Ala.. and David Ray King and wife Peggy of Poulan; one daughter, Martha King Connell and husband Scott of Bainbridge; four sisters, Carolyn Fletcher and husband Carl of Byron, Ga., Eunice Yon of Jacksonville, Fla., Maxie Huggins and Lillian Smith, both of Moultrie; fourteen grandchildren, Sharon Pierce and husband Dave, Ricky Giles and wife Brenda, Lisa Michelle Reddick and husband Duane, Geoffrey Mark King and wife Christi, Victoria Hope Walls and husband Tracy, Ginger Ann Shear and husband Ray, Timothy William Spieker, Michael Paul Spieker and wife Michelle, Alecia McGatha, Randy Connell and wife Sarah, Deborah Bowman and husband Mike, Angela Meisenheimer and husband Bill, Christel Torneden and Erich Torneden and wife Lyndsey; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Sylvester Lighthouse Church of God, just prior to the funeral service.
