Although Warren is new to this position, she is not new to the Salvation Army. She has been an active volunteer for the association and previously served as its county coordinator several years ago. She said she was attracted to the position because she believes in the Salvation Army mission of service and being a universal church.

Her goal is to educate the community on the services and mission of the Salvation Army. She plans to establish relations and  collaborate with other agencies in town who have the same goals of service to those in need. She also wants to increase local sales.

Warren served the city as Main Street director in the early 1990s, was in charge of marketing and volunteer services at Memorial Hospital from 1996 to 2002, and has operated a home-based business, Morgan Stitchery, as she was a stay-at home mother of her daughter, Morgan Lane.

She is a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, where she is also an active volunteer.

She is married to Tony Warren, is the mother of two step-sons, Jason and Josh Warren, and has four step-grandchildren.
