Ronald E. Lowe, age 65, of Birmingham, Ala., passed away September 1, 2013.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Sept 4, at 3 p.m. with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Pastor John Ray of Riverchase United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 1p.m. to 3p.m. Wednesday.

He worked for the Ryder Corporation for 17 years and was a member of Riverchase United Methodist Church. Ronald enjoyed gardening, fishing, knife making, watching football and trips to the beach.

He was preceded in death by his mother Maxine Lowe Calhoun; stepfather Lawson Calhoun; stepmother Peggy J. Lowe.

He is survived by his special friend Dee Wilson; daughter Summer Lowe Rutledge (Will); father Harry E. Lowe; sisters Sherry Hall (Robert), Lisa Spencer (Steve), Rita Dobbs (Joel); brothers Al Calhoun, Wayne Calhoun (Kathy); grandchildren Savannah Faye Land and Kaine Pittman; numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Project “Imagine” building fund of Riverchase United Methodist Church.

Jefferson Memorial of Trussville, Ala. is in charge of arrangements.
