JV Football: JV loses, ninth grade wins this week

The Bainbridge High School junior varsity and ninth grade Bearcats split a pair of recent games.
The junior varsity lost 28-6 to the Thomas County Central junior varsity Yellow Jackets Thursday in Thomas County and the ninth grade defeated the Worth County Middle School Rams 20-0 Monday in Sylvester.
Dalvin Spivie, who plays running back on offense and is a member of the defensive secondary, led the junior varsity Bearcats. He picked up a fumble and returned it 70 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
The ninth grade Bearcats were led by running back Kerenski Williams who ran five yards for a touchdown to give them a 6-0 second quarter lead.
In the third quarter Williams ran 60 yards for a touchdown and quarterback Eddie Cooper completed a two-point conversion pass to Austin Shattles to increase the Bearcats lead to 14-0.
The Bearcats final touchdown came on a 40 yard Spivie fourth quarter run.
The ninth grade Bearcats will conclude their season Monday October 28 when they host the Worth County Rams in a 4:30 p.m. rematch at Centennial Field.
