Those who enjoy a game of chance, or who just like a good party with good food and friends will want to take note that the fourth annual Rotary Casino Night is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at the Kirbo Center from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
The theme this year is “Experience the 1920’s,” or “The Roaring Twenties,” as that era has been designated.
Chairperson, Marjorie Mayfield says, “Don’t stay away just because you don’t have a flapper dress or gangster suit. Cocktail clothing is perfectly appropriate.”
She promises an evening of fun as local celebrity dealers take charge of the blackjack tables. Those include Charles Tyson, Dr. Don Robinson, Dr. Daniel White and Bo Jones for starters. Other games include Roulette, craps and slots. There will also be music from a DJ, a photo booth and a silent auction featuring a weekend trip to Biloxi, local art work, vintage jewelry and more.
The first 100 people who pay $10 each will be able to roll the dice for a chance to win an automobile donated by ActionGM.
Food reminiscent of the 1920s will be catered by Faye Martin.
Tickets are $50 per person and are available at both Edward Jones offices, as well as the First National Bank of Decatur County. Some will also be available at the door for those who make a last-minute decision to attend.
All attendees must be age 21 or older.
Proceeds from the evening go to support the Rotary Club’s 3D educational programs that benefit local schools.
The club has previously presented a 3D Rover to Hutto Middle School and to Bainbridge High School. This year the contribution will be made to Grace Christian Academy.
