Bonnie B. Powell, 96, of Brinson, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Scarbrough and Rev. Ellis Harwick officiating and will conclude in the chapel. Interment will be at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with her grandsons serving as active pallbearers.

Bonnie B. Powell was born July 17, 1918 in Columbus, Ga., the daughter of James Gordon Bullard and Iona Ezell Bullard. She was a graduate of Brinson High School and a dedicated homemaker. Mrs. Powell was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and volunteer with the American Cancer Society.

Survivors include her children, Virginia B. Yates of Sylva, NC, Wayne Baggerly and his wife, Grace, of Panama City, Fla., Julie B. Earp of Brinson, Randall Baggerly and his wife, Rhonda, of Bainbridge,  Melba P. Ingram and her husband, Karl, of Brinson, and Hardy G. Powell, Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Brinson; her 17 grandchildren; her 19 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Gaynor Powell.
