Look at the picture above. Do you recognize anyone from the Fifth grade of Climax School in 1958? If you do, you may be interested in attending this year’s school reunion to catch up on whatever happened to these people. This year’s Climax School reunion will be held April 11, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Climax Baptist Church Fellowship Hall at the intersection of Lee and Drain streets in Climax.

Committee members encourage and invite all past Climax Consolidated School students to attend this year’s reunion. You do not have to be a graduate if you attended Climax School and then transferred due to a family move. Everyone is invited to come and share in the memories.

Again this year Edward Crump class of 1965 will be scanning old school pictures to be presented in the slide show and he will scan them and return them to you shortly after scanning. The pictures will be added to next year’s show. Edward’s wife Beverly will also have the beautiful handmade quilt for the drawing. Everyone is asked to bring any Climax School memorabilia to be shared.

Wayne Dollar, class of 1950 will be the master of ceremonies for the program. A meal will be catered by Elizabeth & Me owned by Faye Martin, and Nelda Logue, class of 1965 and served at 12:00 noon, the cost is $15.00 per person.

If you received a letter and card you are asked to fill the card out and return it with your remittance for the meal to: Mildred McNair 3360 Lake Douglas Road, Climax, Georgia 39834 by April 1. If you did not receive a letter you can contact Mildred or any committee member and they will address any concerns.

Ham and Egg Supper

Mark your calendar for April 2, the annual Climax ham and egg supper will be held on the Swine Time grounds under the Chittlin barn on the Thursday before Easter beginning at 5:00 p.m. One may dine in or there will be a drive through for those carrying out. Price is $9.00 per plate and choice are ham or sausage with grits, eggs and biscuits. Gravies and jelly is also available for those dining in.  Come enjoy the spring time in Climax and help Cedar Grove cemetery.
