Climax City Council considers new technology for water billing system

The Climax City Council meeting of March 9 was called to order by Mayor Charles Hadsock, with all council members present.
Ricky Coastman spoke under public comments asking the council to approve a business license for a car washing/detail business to be located at Letha’s Hair Care on East Broad Street. After discussion the council voted unanimously to approve the business license.
There were no standing committee reports including police report as Police chief John Presilla was absent.
Greg Toole gave a routine daily maintenance report and fire fighter Craig Josey gave a report on the fire department calls for the month.
Mayor Hadsock announced that he had attended the presentation to the Climax VFD by Kerry Dean representing Monsanto fund a part of the American farmers grow community, a donation of $2,500.
City Clerk Karen Toole asked the council to consider a new company, United Systems Technology Inc, for the water billing system. The council asked for references and for the clerk to get comparing prices by the next council meeting.
