Two men were arrested Monday after Bainbridge Public Safety received reports of drug activity and sales.

Devan Javone Collins, 23, of Bainbridge, was arrested and charged with controlled substance – possession of cocaine and controlled substance – possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute, which are both felony charges.

Denzel Tevan Greene, 23, of Iron City, was arrested and charged with giving false information.

Bainbridge Public Safety Investigator Chris Jordan said that BPS received reports of a male selling drugs, and upon driving around the area, located a male that fit the description walking down College Street with another man.

“We asked [Collins] if he had anything on him, and he said, ‘No.’ We asked to search him, and he consented,” Jordan said. “He had a piece of crack and five bags of marijuana on him.”

Jordan said that Greene was charged for giving a false name to officers.
