Lady Cougars win against Byne, Open Christian

Perra Harrell is the Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars statistical leader as the team continues their January schedule.
In the Lady Cougars Tuesday, Jan. 12, 48-15 victory over Byne Christian School in Albany, Harrell led the way with 15 points. She had a team-high 21 points and 8 rebounds in the Lady Cougars Thursday, Jan. 14, win over Open Bible Christian School in Valdosta.
Rounding out the Lady Cougars statistical column against Byne were Addie Elkins with 11 points, Kelsey Harrell with 9 points, Lindsey Duke with 5 points, Mallie Andrews with 4 points and Kaitlyn Holcombe and Mikey Harrell with 2 points apiece.
In the Lady Cougars Thursday, Jan. 14, 46-38 victory over Open Bible Christian School in Valdosta, Perra Harrell had 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists, Kelsey Harrell had 7 points and 8 assists, Lindsey Duke had 6 points, Kaitlyn Holcombe had 4 points, Addie Elkins had 4 points and Mikey Harrell had 4 points.
“We thought this would be a physical game tonight and it was,” coach Erwin Harrell said. “They have two big girls that are very good around the basket. Our defense was scrappy and Addie Elkins, Kaitlyn Holcombe and Mallie Andrews battled those two girls all night and won. It was a good game to prepare us for region play.”
