Charles Brown Lane, 59, of Bainbridge, GA, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Calvin Arnold and Rev. Stanley Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Charlie Livingston, Jeff Barber, Jeff Crews, Donald Barber, Karl Ingram, Terril Scott, Bud Nix, Judd Greene, and Kalvin Kirkland serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Lane was born September 26, 1956 in Bainbridge, GA, the son of Thomas Clay Lane, Jr. and Doris Letitia McCollum Lane. Charles lived an active life and loved every minute of it. He enjoyed all aspects of farming from planting to harvesting. His large circle of friends is evidence of his kind heart, his cooking skills, and colorful personality. When Charles wasn’t on a tractor or in a field, he could be found riding the roads sometimes taking time to hunt or more than likely going fishing.

Survivors include his children, Mack Lane of Cyrene, GA and Mandy Lane Eakin of San Diego, CA; his siblings, Marcia King of Cyrene, GA and Jimmy Lane of Cyrene, GA; his step-mother, Alice Lane; and his grandchildren, Mackenna Lane, Cross Lane and Thomas Eakin. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, William Lane and Johnny Lane.
