JOY best describes Susan…Jesus, Others, You. She always thought of others first whether it was the family she loved dearly, her friends, her church, or her students. She had a taste for antiques and spent a little time “junking”. She worshiped Jimmy Johnson, the love of her life, and enjoyed every moment grandparenting Colton with him. Susan’s quick wit and sly chuckle was evidence she loved you and wanted to leave you smiling.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Jimmy Johnson; her son, Sean Johnson and his wife, Mandy, of Bainbridge; her siblings, Eleanor Toney and her husband, Fred, of Danville, California, Janet Stone and her husband, Bill, of Orlando, Florida, Davis Haynes and his wife, Carole, of Athens, Tennessee, and Ben Haynes and his wife, Elizabeth, of Hartford, Connecticut; her grandson, the light of her life, Colton Johnson and many nieces and nephews. Susan was preceded in death by her parents, B.C. and Louise Haynes.
