On Wednesday, June 8, the 4-H Southwest District State Congress Winners’ Workshop visited Bainbridge State College. While on campus they learned about the various programs offered—including the EMT Program.
EMT Instructor, Charles Avery, demonstrated the new technology BSC now offers its nursing, EMT and Health Science students. The 4-H students saw how the simulation mannequins or SIM Man could recreate real scenarios.
With the new technology, the instructors more effectively teach the students to give IV’s, practice drawing blood and even practice delivering babies. The programs are designed to simulate what it will be like on the field and the students can have a decreased level of anxiety and with confidence.
