Miss McIntosh to wed Mr. Hawkins
Jordan Leigh McIntosh, daughter of Jerry Phillip McIntosh and Laura Shannon (Kinney) McIntosh of Spartanburg, S.C., is engaged to wed James Mason Hawkins, son of James Heywood Hawkins and Roberta Ann (Whiddon) Hawkins, of Crawfordville, Florida.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jerry and Kay McIntosh of Hickory, N.C., Judy Patton of Greensboro, N.C. and the late Charles Kinney of Kernersville, N.C. She is the great-granddaughter of Ralph Patton.
Miss McIntosh is a 2004 graduate of East Forsyth High School and of Appalachian State University with a degree in Electronic Media/Broadcasting. She has been employed as a college football and basketball content producer for ESPN five years, a content producer for the Golf Channel, which brought her to Florida, and is currently an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Food & Beverage at Ocean Reef Club, where she met her future husband.
The groom is the grandson of Eugenie Mae Whiddon of Bainbridge, Georgia, and the late Roy Joseph Whiddon; and the late Otis Pullman Hawkins and Maryann Mason Hawkins of Beachton, Georgia.
Mr. Hawkins is a 2005 graduate of The Brookwood School, and of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, where he majored in Turfgrass Sciences and Management. He is employed as Golf Course Superintendent at Ocean Reef Club.
The wedding will be held at the Hawkins Family Estate and invitations will be sent.
They are both residents of Key largo, Florida.
