To the Editor:

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I wish to extend congratulations and thanks to Decatur County State Court Judge George C. Floyd on his retirement from office effective Dec. 31.

Georgia’s State Court judges fulfill a vital responsibility in the administration of justice at the local level. Judge Floyd served on the State Court bench for 15 years and has been an active member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1975.

All members of Georgia’ s legal community are grateful for Judge Floyd’s service and are inspire ed by his many contributions toward strengthening the foundations of our justice system, which protects the rights and liberties of all Americans. We wish him well in the years ahead.
