Grace completes comeback, beats Terrell Academy

The Grace Christian Academy boy’s basketball team had to mount a second half comeback on Friday, Feb. 10, in order to win a close game at home against Terrell Academy. After digging themselves in a hole in the first half, Grace ended up winning the game 56-54.
A hot start for both teams gave way to a high scoring first quarter. Terrell led after the quarter 18-16, with Grace hanging with them. In the second quarter, the Cougars began to slow down offensively, and let Terrell outscore them 14-7 to go into halftime with a score of 32-23 in favor of Terrell Academy.
Grace game out strong in the third, outscoring Terrell 11-9, but they were going to need more to scratch away at the 9-point halftime deficit. While they had chipped away at it, a big fourth quarter was needed.
When the quarter started the score was 41-34, and Grace came out on fire. The Cougars put up an impressive 22-point effort in the quarter and held Terrell to 13 points, giving Grace the two-point edge in the final score.
Sam McRae led the Cougars in scoring with 32 points, shooting 13 for 25 and grabbing 3 rebounds. Nate Walton finished second in scoring with 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
