The Bainbridge High Schools boy’s soccer team fell to the Veterans Warhawks in a mercy rule shortened game on Friday. Veterans dominated the ball in the game, which was called 13 minutes into the second half.
The Warhawks outshot Bainbridge 37-2 in the game on their way to a decisive 10-0 win.
“We could not penetrate their defense,” head coach Rick Lewis said. “We have to overcome injuries. Quality opponents expose our current depth concerns.”
The Bearcats are now 3-5 on the season and 0-4 in region play. They hosted Brooks County on Tuesday and will look to pick up their first region win of the season on Friday against Harris County.
The Tigers defeated Bainbridge 4-0 in the teams’ first meeting this season.
