Bainbridge DDA accepts awards at conference

On Wednesday, October 4th, Bainbridge City Manager Chris Hobby, City Councilman Phil Long, Downtown Development Director Amanda Glover, and City of Bainbridge Consulting Engineer Jim York attended the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Fall Conference in Savannah.
During the awards dinner on Wednesday evening, DCA Commissioner Christopher Nunn presented Councilman Long and Jim York with a “Big Check” representing a Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $277,280 to assist with stormwater improvements.
Downtown Development Director Amanda Glover was also pleased to accept an award designating Bainbridge as a “2017 Exceptional Main Street City.”
