Rosa Lee Cox Wiggins, 89 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends on Friday, November 17, 2017. The service was Monday, November 20th at 11 a.m. at Hopewell United Baptist Church, with interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Quincy.

Rosa Lee was a lifelong resident of Gadsden Co. and a devoted member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She attended beauty school in Jacksonville before becoming a licensed cosmetologist and a co-owner of the Ruby- Lee Beauty Shop in Quincy. She took pleasure in providing first haircuts for many of her nieces and nephews. Rosa Lee enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, which were centerpieces of many weddings for family and friends. Her “green thumb” was a special delight to all who enjoyed the roses from her garden. She later devoted her time to family as a full-time homemaker, business manager of the family farm, and especially enjoyed caring for her grandchildren.

Rosa Lee was the third of five children born to the late Herbert and Nora Cox. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Billy; their two children Stephanie Harris (Jimmy) of Quincy, and Herbert Wiggins (Sandi) of Chipley; as well as her four grandchildren, Will and Emilee Harris and Colby and Caleb Wiggins,; also her sister-in-law, Doris Cox, and many loving nieces and nephews to whom she was always “Aunt Wee.” She is preceded in death by her parents; Herbert and Nora Cox, her brothers, sister, brother-in-law, and sisters-in-law, James and Nadine Cox, Frank and Bonnie Cox, Mary Frances and Arylis Parramore, Ralph Cox.

The family appreciates all the care of her devoted caregivers Sharon, Connie, and Jennifer.
