Lady Cats keep winning

The Lady Cats (16-2) made it look easy Friday night, draining nine 3-pointers and soaring to a 61-38 win over region opponent Veterans.
Tytianna Roseborough, Kiarra King and Tyra Smart each had two 3-pointers. Zycheria Russ, Iyanna Gibbs and India Parris added one apiece.
Nadia Marshall led the scoring efforts for the Lady Cats with 16 points, going 5-for-14 from the field. She was also clutch at the free throw line, hitting 6 of 7. Marshall added 9 rebounds and 6 steals to her stats.
Roseborough poured in 11 points, Parris had 9 points and King had 9 points.
Bainbridge jumped to a quick 23-13 lead at the end of the first quarter, and continue to keep their foot on the gas through the second, making the score 40-20 at halftime. Both teams scored 8 in the third quarter, and the Lady Cats beat the Lady Warhawks 13-10 in the fourth.
The Lady Cats (2-1) currently sit at second place in region 1-AAAAA, only behind 2-0 Harris County. Behind them is Thomas County Central, Veterans and Warner Robins all at 0-1.
Bainbridge plays Cairo at home Friday at 6 p.m. and hosts region opponent Warner Robins Saturday at 5 p.m.
