Lions Club meets new Georgia Power official

Fred Rudbeck, the new area manager for the Georgia Power Company, Bainbridge office, told the Bainbridge Lions Club Wednesday that his company believes in providing a community workforce and economic development support for the Southwest Georgia region. Immediately before coming to Bainbridge Rudbeck was the Georgia Power manager in Zebulon.
“In my position as area manager in Bainbridge, I am committed to providing a community workforce and economic development support for the Southwest Georgia Region.”
Rudbeck further told the Lions that he has served in leadership roles on various boards and committees such as County Thomaston-Upson, Griffin-Spalding Chamber of Commerce, Lamar County College and Career Academy, Griffin Region College and Career Academy, and Griffin Spalding Development Authority.
“I am currently serving on the board of directors for the Regional Members Credit Union, the Pelham Chamber of Commerce and the Bainbridge-Decatur County Development Authority.”
Rudbeck said that he has served as a city councilman and Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Haralson for the past 16 years. “I am here to serve. Our Georgia Power office number is 229-248-4401. I am looking forward to getting involved in the community and economic development.”
“On a personal note, I have been married to my high school sweetheart Tammy for 33 years, we have two grown children and are expecting our first grandchild in April.”
