Miss Reaves to marry Mr. Hearn

Cathy Floyd Reaves and Rev. Dwight Reaves of Bainbridge announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Rene Reaves to Eriq D. Hearn, both of Augusta, Georgia.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lucy Floyd of Bainbridge and the late James Floyd and the late Walter and Ramell Reaves of Plant City, Florida. Godparents are Gail and Vincent Black of Miami, Florida.

Shannon is a 2009 honor graduate of Bainbridge High School, and a 2013 Cum Laude honor graduate of Valdosta State University with a B.A. in Early Childhood. She is currently employed as a 5^th grade English teacher at Bayvale Elementary School in Augusta.

The groom-to-be is the son of Teresa Hearn of Benton, Arkansas and Eric Hearn of Augusta. He is the grandson of Ethel Hearn of Charleston, South Carolina and the late Bobby Ray Hearn; Linda Lindsey and Mike Merritt of Benton, Arkansas.

Eriq is a 2009 honor graduate of Kaiserslautern High School and a 2015 graduate of Augusta University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a Masters in the Arts of teaching. He is currently employed at Academy of Richmond High School as an A.P. Physics Teacher.

The wedding event is July 14, 2018 in Augusta, Georgia.
