Five BHS senior Anchor Club members attended the Georgia District Anchor Convention at Lake Lanier Islands Legacy Lodge.  Emily Chambers, Southwest Region Chair, served in the District Anchor Board helping to plan and oversee the convention.  Other Anchors who attended were Ashlyn Brock, Abbey Gardner, Seth Jones, and Skyla Taylor.

While at Convention, the Anchors elected a new board for 2019-2020, participated in workshops such as “7 Big Ideas to Make College Awesome,” scrapbooking, jewelry making, and line dancing; heard an inspirational speech by Chic-fil-A owner  Maribeth McNeil, and interacted with 154 Anchors from throughout the state.  The BHS Anchor Club contributed 58 breakfast items to the Ronald McDonald House, an altruistic project If State Anchors), and the members in attendance helped paint canvases for The Foundation for Hospital Art.
