William Allen Mills, Jr. was born April 19, 1945, in Bainbridge, the son of William Allen Mills, Sr. and Ona Donalson Mills. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School. William married Syble Griffin and they made their home in Decatur County where they attended Sutton Chapel United Methodist Church.

William was a people person. He always seemed to plug right in to the conversation no matter the subject. He worked with Keenan Auto Parts, Hodges Tractor Co., Mitchell Building Supply and then spent 28 years as a sales rep with Stone’s, so he knew lots of folks and had plenty to talk about. Many will have fond memories of Campus Gate Western Wear where William and Syble welcomed family and friends to shop for years. His love for antiques and collectibles led him to open Plenty of Stuff where he continued to grow his friends & acquaintance list. William enjoyed cooking and nothing beat a good old-fashioned fish fry in his eyes.

Survivors include his sons, Billy Mills and his wife, Tina, of Attapulgus, Ga. and Tom Mills of Bainbridge; his sisters, Carolyn & Wayne Martin of Bainbridge, Linda & Fred Weaver of Chattahoochee, Fla. and Kathy Frost of Glenwood, Ga.; his grandchildren, Taylor, Briana, Kaleigh and Liam; and his caregivers, Mark Heard and Michelle Dutton. In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Syble G. Mills; and an infant son.
