Bearcat baseball stung by Jackets 5-0

Bainbridge fell 5-0 to Thomas County Central on Friday despite out-hitting the Yellow Jackets six to five.
One bright spot for the Bearcats was a single by Sam Boutwell in the second inning.
Pace Mercer was the winning pitcher for Thomas County Central. He went seven innings, allowing zero runs on six hits, striking out nine and walking one.
Jackson McCullough took the loss for Bainbridge. He went four innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out three.
Boutwell, Ivan Velasquez, Quayde Hawkins, Nolan Barr, Colton Harrell, and Michael Conder each collected one hit to lead the team.
Thomas County Central saw the ball well, racking up five hits in the game. Jarrod Johnson and Zach Fletcher all collected multiple hits for Thomas County Central. Thomas County Central didn’t commit a single error in the field.
Slade Taylor had nine chances in the field, the most on the team.
