Shirley Ann McCall was born February 8, 1954 in Crestview, Fl., the daughter of Melvin and Minnie Lee McDonald McCall.  Shirley was a graduate of Chattahoochee High School and worked as a Ward Clerk for Florida State Hospital for 32 Years.  She married her soul mate, Johnny Neely, in 1972 and they celebrated 43 wonderful years together until his passing in 2015.

Shirley was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She loved to surround herself with family. She could always find time to be around her kids and grandkids. Shirley had a big heart and a funny sense of humor.  She always had a smile on her face and loved to joke around.  You could always catch Shirley on her phone talking someone’s ear off, except when everyone was chowing down at a family fish fry.

Survivors include her children, John Eric Neely and Sharon Amanda Neely, both of Chattahoochee; her siblings, Thad & Carol McCall of Jay, Fl., Ricky & Rose McCall of Climax, Ga., Melvin McCall, Jr. of Chattahoochee, Wanda Sue & Dale Harrison of Bainbridge and Gene & Debra McCall of Bell, Fl.; her grandchildren Tiffany, Chelsey, Cassidy, Cheyanne, Damien, Matthew, and Mayleigh; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Shirley McCall Neely was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Neely; and her brother, William McCall.  Shirley and her daughter, Kimberly Neely, passed away at the same time in a tragic car accident.
