As part of Fire Prevention Week, Bainbridge Public Safety partnered with Bainbridge Domino’s to spread the word about fire prevention!
On Thursday afternoon, customers who placed an order with Domino’s had the chance to be selected to have their order delivered by BPS firefighters! Upon delivery, if all of the smoke alarms in the home were working, customers were given their pizza order for FREE! If the smoke alarms were not working, BPS Firefighters replaced the batteries or installed new smoke alarms at no charge to the homeowner!
Bainbridge Public Safety’s first delivery was to a home on Washington Street. BPS Firefighters checked the home and discovered that there was no smoke alarm. Firefighters were happy to install a brand new, 10-year alarm for free!
The second delivery was to a home on Lake Douglas Road. BPS Firefighters checked the home and discovered that the home had working smoke alarms. Domino’s was happy to give the customer their order for free!
Bainbridge Public Safety Fire Chief Doyle Welch stated, “We were pleased to be able to partner with Tanya and Max at Domino’s on this event today to help spread the word to homeowners about the importance of having working smoke alarms.”
If you live within the city limits of Bainbridge and would like to have a firefighter check the smoke alarms in your home, give Fire Chief Doyle Welch a call at 229-248-2038.
