Jerry Arnold Davis was born July 9, 1943 in Altha, Fl., the son of Arnold and Nellie Shoupe Davis. He was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and attended the University of Georgia.  He married Nina Faye Darley and they made their home in Bainbridge outside of his assignments with Colonial Pipeline. Jerry was a member of New Fountainhead Baptist Church.

Like any good southern boy, Jerry had his priorities: faith in the Lord-Jesus Christ, family, fishing and following instructions. His life revolved around Nina and he loved every minute of doing whatever she wanted. They traveled some but mostly stuck close to home where family get-togethers were the highlight and fond memories were made. Jerry loved a good trip down memory lane as he was an excellent storyteller.

Survivors include his sons, Christopher Scott Davis and his wife, Brenda, of Tallahassee, Fl. and Mark Davis and his wife, Danielle, of Dillwyn, VA; his brother, Jack B. Davis and his wife, Karen, of Bainbridge; and his grandchildren, Maeve, Christopher, Charlotte and Nina. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Nina Darley Davis; and his sisters, Pat Edmunds and Linda Davis.
