River Town Days and the Flint River Fair are signature, family-friendly events in our community that incorporate arts and entertainment for regional enjoyment. Exciting changes and plans made to the 2020 River Town Days Festival were both days and hours from execution when effects of flooding and an unprecedented pandemic took their toll. Plans to host a rescheduled River Town Days and plans to host the Flint River Fair face dramatically different circumstances and guidelines than any year prior.

At the Chamber of Commerce, our mission is to strengthen business, foster economic growth, and improve the quality of life for all. Ultimately, the Chamber and Chamber Committees feel it irresponsible to hold events that could result in the transmission of Covid-19, which in turn, would negatively affect our citizens, businesses, and ultimately the economy as a whole here in Bainbridge and Decatur County.

Both River Town Days and the Flint River Fair draw thousands of people from the tri-state region. After communicating with local public health officials, heeding the CDC and the Event Safety Alliance’s guidelines, and following Governor Kemp’s most recent executive order, the safest and most appropriate course of action is to push our large-scale events to the following year. With great sadness, an abundance of precaution, and with our community’s safety in mind, The Chamber of Commerce announces that River Town Days will be postponed to March 13-14, 2021 and that the Flint River Fair will be postponed to October 2021.
