Cross Country sprints it out at Bearcat Invitational

BY ETHAN REDDISH

This past weekend, Bainbridge High School hosted the Bearcat Invitational Cross Country meet.

Starting at 8:00 a.m., teams came from Thomas County Central, Wakulla, Lowndes, Seminole, Westover, Tift, Valdosta, Dougherty, Cairo, and Grace Christian. Bainbridge Varsity Boys came in fourth place, Varsity Girls placed sixth, while Bainbridge Middle School did not have enough members present to place.

“We had too many runners out with things like strep throat,” Coach Eric Connor said. “They prepared very hard for this meet, and I think the results show it.”
