Dow-Whitaker to be wed

Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Dow of Donalsonville, Ga. are pleased to announce the engagement and forth coming marriage of their daughter, Madison Ree Dow, to Alex Lenvile Whitaker of Jakin, Ga. Mr. Whitaker is the son of Mrs. Martha Ross of Donalsonville.

Miss Dow is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Harden of Iron City, Ga. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dave White of Chicopee, MA. She is a graduate of Seminole County High School and attended Southern Regional Technical College where she obtained her Licensed Practical Nursing Certificate. She is currently attending Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College to obtain her degree as a Registered Nurse. Miss Dow is employed with Miller County Hospital in Colquitt, Ga.

Mr. Whitaker is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Meadows, Sr. and the great-grandson of Mrs. Earnestine Coovert, all of Donalsonville. A graduate of Seminole County High School, he attended Tulsa Welding School in Jacksonville, Fla., where he received his certificate as a skilled professional welder. Mr. Whitaker is employed with Womble Brothers Farm in Donalsonville.

The wedding is planned for December 5, 2020. Invitations will be forthcoming.
