Louise Dupriest Ivey, 87, of Bainbridge, Ga., passed away Friday, November 6, 2020.
The graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Lynn Hurley officiating. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, those attending are asked to maintain the recommended safe social distancing of six feet and/or wear protective masks in accordance with the State of Georgia guidelines.

Melba Louise Dupriest was born November 19, 1932 in Jakin, Ga., the daughter of Irvin and Lucy Sirmons Dupriest. She married Perry D. Ivey and they made their home in Bainbridge. “Miss” Louise worked for over fifty years at Grimsley Pharmacy. She enjoyed piddling at her house and in the yards. She loved a good shopping trip and shared her finds with the friends she made over the years at the pharmacy.
Survivors include her brother, David S. Dupriest and his wife, Joyce, of Hayesville, N.C.; her sister-in-law, Arlene Dupriest of Jakin, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Perry D. Ivey; and her siblings, Patricia North, Jeanette Fiveash, and James “Buddy” Dupriest.
