“We started out last nights game without our top defender due to injury,” Coach Lance Godwin said. “Our leading scorer fouled out early in the 3rd quarter. Even with those odds against us, our young girls came off the bench and played great support. It was a very tough game that came down to the wire. Baker County shot the ball very well in the second half. We got a couple key turnovers in the last minute of the game to give us a 3 point lead that won the game.”
The next GCA basketball game as of the publishing of this article will be the Tinsel games, scheduled for Friday night, with the girls scheduled for 6:00 PM and the boys for 7:30.
